Responsible Fiscal Management

  • Develop long-term financial plans that align with community needs and priorities. 
  • Ensure that budget adjustments reflect changes in demand and emerging challenges. 
  • Engage stakeholders in budgeting to gather input and ensure that spending aligns with community values and needs.

Public Safety

  • Focus on recruiting qualified law enforcement officers and first responders. Provide ongoing training in areas, such as community relations, de-escalation techniques, and mental health awareness.
  • Ensure fair and competitive compensation for all public safety professionals to attract and retain talented individuals.
  • Strengthen emergency response systems to ensure quick and effective responses to crises.

Expand Human Services

  • Advocate for increased funding in programs that support residents with disabilities, seniors, and mental wellness. This could involve working with local government bodies, securing grants, and fostering partnerships with private organizations.
  • Ensure funding is directed efficiently to provide necessary healthcare services, recreational activities, and mental health support. This includes expanding access to specialized care and support services.

Smart & Sustainable Growth

  • Promote a balanced approach to development that integrates conservation efforts with economic growth. Support projects that are environmentally friendly and sustainable.
  • Encourage responsible land use practices that protect natural resources while accommodating growth. Implement zoning regulations that reflect these values.
  • Engage with local stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and environmental groups, in the planning process. Ensure that their input shapes development plans.
  • Align economic development initiatives with community values and long-term goals. 
  • Promote businesses and industries that contribute positively to the community and environment.
  • Ensure that development initiatives respect and preserve the unique character of the county. Focus on projects that enhance the quality of life for all residents while maintaining the county’s natural beauty.

Workforce Recruitment & Housing Attainability

  • Advocate for constructing more workforce housing to ensure essential workers, like teachers and first responders can afford to live in Fayette County.
